My Anti-virus software won't let me install the Digi Stamp Designer,
what do I do?
If you are running Norton Anti-virus you may just need to update your
program. Click on "Check for Updates" in the Norton Anti-virus
program. You will need to restart your computer after the update installs.
If
you have updated your software and are still having problems, please
email me and let me
know what Anti-virus program you are using and what is the error message
you are getting.
The
layout of the buttons and menus on the Digi Stamp Designer doesn't
look right, why is this happening?
In your Internet Browser, if you have the zoom set at anything other
than 100% this will cause the menu and buttons to not display correctly.
Please set the zoom back to 100%. In Internet Explorer, click on the
Tools menu and then change the zoom to 100%.

Stamps Questions
How
do I use digi stamps?
If you are new to digi stamps and want to learn how to download
and print them then I have the perfect tutorial for you. I've included
a free digi stamp so you can test it out before you buy.
Here is a link to the
tutorial.
How do I get my digi stamp purchase onto my computer?
If you have never downloaded to your computer before then check out
this tutorial for
step-by-step instructions.
If you have some experience downloading then:
After you have paid for your order, you will be redirected to a thank
you webpage. On that webpage will be links to the files you purchased.
Just click on each link and save the files to your computer. I would
recommend making a Pink Cat Studio folder on your computer and when
you save your files, select that folder and save them in it. That
will make it much easier to find your files when you are ready to
get crafty.
You will also receive an email with links to download your purchase.
You will get 5 attempts per file to download but if you have any trouble
or run out of attempts just email
me and I'll send you the files directly.
How do I use the Paper Piecing Projects?
Check out the tutorials page for some very detailed instructions
on how you use the Paper Piecing files. There is a free butterfly
pattern that you can download and try out.
Here is a link to the tutorials page.
What
is your Angel Policy?
Here is a link to our Terms of Use. Please
read them before making your purchase.
What methods of payment do you accept?
At this time we only accept payment by Paypal.
What
is the file format and resolution of the digi files?
All of our files are PNG files with a white background at 300 dpi
resolution. At this high resolution it is very easy for you to resize
the images and they will still look sharp. If you would prefer a different
file format such as JPG or transparent PNG, just email me after you
make your purchase and I will send you the file in the format you
request.
What file formats do the Paper Piecing Projects come in?
Each project will download as 1 zip file that contains:
Cut by hand files in PDF and PNG formats
Electronic cutter files in DFX, GSD, PDF, AI, layered
SVG and color separated SVGs
Have a look at this info
page for more details about the files for electronic cutters.
How
do I resize a digi stamp?
Here is a tutorial that I created that shows you how to resize using
Microsoft Word.
Resizing
Digi Stamps and Printing Multiple Images per Sheet using MS Word
When I open the image it shows up as a solid
black box. Why is this?
If you ordered before Sept. 30th, the files you received
were PNG with a transparent background. I've discovered that some
programs, MS Works for example, don't display the transparent background
properly and instead fill in the transparent area with black. If you
have this problem please email me and I will send you new files that
do not have transparent backgrounds. As of Sept. 30th I have changed
the files to have a white background to make them eassier to use in
all programs. If you want transparent background files, just email
me after you make your purchase and I will send them to you.
What
is the best type of cardstock to use with digital stamps?
It's best to select
a cardstock that is absorbent and doesn't have a coating on it. My
design team ladies recommend GinaK or PTI or Georgia Pacific card
stock which is sold at Walmart. SU Whisper white is not recommended
because it has a coating.
After you print your image you should let it dry for at least 10 minutes
before you start to colour. You may want to try heat setting it if
you notice any smearing of the ink while you colour.
I
added rubber stamps to the shopping cart but when I tried to add digital
stamps the cart was empty. What happened?
The
Pink Cat Studio rubber stamps store is a seperate website from the
digital store. If you want to purchase both rubber and digital stamps
you will need to place two seperate orders.
