How to Open the Color Separated SVGs in SCAL1 and Resize the Project Files

The SVGs are separated into individual files based on color. You will need to import each SVG into SCAL and cut each file separately. If you want to resize the design you need to make sure that you resize each file in exactly the same way so that they all cut at the correct size.
In each SVG file there is a tiny circle in the far right of the design. This circle is used to make all of the files the exact same width. This way when you resize one file, you can write down the new width and apply that width to all of the other files so they will be resized proportionately.

Have a look at these screen shots so you can see how to resize correctly.

Start SCAL and then click on File -> Import SVG.

Find the project files on your computer and select one file to open.

The file will open in SCAL and you will probably want to resize the design.

Be sure to first click on Keep Proportions whenever you are resizing.
Pick a new height or width and type it in.
Cut the design.
Now record the width because you will use that same width to resize the remaining pieces of the project.

Import the next SVG.

Delete the first image and then resize the new one by doing the following:
1. Click on "Keep Proportions" (VERY IMPORTANT)
2. Type in the width to match the width you used in the first file
3. Cut the design

Now just repeat this process for the rest of the project files. When you are finished cutting all of the files you can assemble the design and all of the pieces will fit together correctly.

Have fun!
