Privacy Policy


This is our policy regarding the privacy of information we collect on our web sites and This Privacy Policy includes examples of the types of personal information we collect and the kinds of companies with whom we share such information. These examples are illustrative and should not be considered a complete inventory of our information collection, use and sharing practices. We gather personal information, which individual users provide (i) when registering as a member of our and websites; (ii) when participating in surveys and contests; (iii) when signing up to receive our email newsletter and notifications; and tracking information, which is automatically collected about all visitors to the website.


Currently, visitors to our website are able to play some free games without becoming a member. However, visitors who would like to create questions and word lists to play in the games, add groups and students, save games, and add purchased products are required to register to become a member. In order to register, visitors must supply us with a first name, last name, email address, a unique User Name and password.


We sometimes offer contests in which certain personal information is required for registration, for purposes of verifying the entrants’ identities and notifying the winners.


If you have signed up for our newsletter, we use your email address to send you free email newsletters containing information about our games and products.

Disclosures of Information

We do not sell or disclose the personal information about you described above to nonaffiliated parties (including but not limited to companies, authorities, institutions, or individuals) except to provide you with products or services, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances: We provide personal information to nonaffiliated companies that we engage as contractors or agents to perform services for us, such as administering our Websites, systems and software; sending direct mail communications; or administering a contest. Disclosures for Joint Marketing and Servicing: We may disclose all the information we collect as described above to other companies such as direct marketers to perform marketing services on our behalf, or other institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. We do not disclose personal information directly or indirectly to third parties for these third parties’ own marketing purposes.

Correcting and Updating Information

We offer members the ability to correct or update online information we collected during registration by visiting the My Account page.

Data Collection

When a teacher signs up, we collect their title, first name, last name, email, username, password, the name visible to their students, default language and whether or not they want to subscribe to our newsletter. All passwords are hashed before they are stored in the database. We do not have access to a teacher’s original password, and cannot obtain it from the hashed version that we receive. Teachers can also add purchases to their account and create questions and word lists. We track when certain actions are performed on the website such as adding a product or accessing a particular website feature. We collect this information to track down technical issues, aid with teacher inquiries and support or improve overall user experience. We collect network traffic data to help us troubleshoot, optimize and protect against attacks or network misconfigurations. This data includes, but is not limited to, pages accessed, time, browser and OS type, and IP address. Teachers can choose to add their students’ names and groups (learning groups or classes). Students can play games via a link provided by the treacher or by the teacher going into the student view. Students do not have their own accounts and cannot create accounts. All activity on the website cannot be linked to any one particular student, all activity is tracked under the teacher’s account.

Deleting Accounts

To delete your account and its associated saved games, students and groups, and purchases please contact us at Questions and word lists entered by a user can also be deleted, however a user can make questions and word lists public and share them with others users. Once shared, each user will then have their own copy of questions or word lists. This copy then becomes part of another user’s data which can only be deleted upon their request. Questions and word lists are also subject to our Terms of Service.


We use cookies to remember when a user has signed in and for Google Analytics. Google analytics gives us real-time data and website trends to help us schedule updates and make future optimizations.


We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with industry standards to guard your personal information. All communication is encrypted over HTTPS and all passwords are hashed before they are stored in the database. No security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our servers, nor can we guarantee that information that users supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet.

Changes in this Privacy Policy

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post changes to this privacy policy. We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it before disclosing personal information on one of our Websites. If we make changes that materially affect our uses or disclosures of personally identifiable information that we have previously collected from you, we will provide a mechanism for you to opt out of the new use or disclosure.
